Lisa Wedeen is the Mary R. Morton Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science and the College, Director of the Chicago Center for Contemporary Theory, and Associate Faculty in Anthropology at the University of Chicago. She is the recipient of the David Collier Mid-Career Achievement Award and an NSF fellowship.

 

The Nirman Foundation with a lifetime endowment from Professor Bhikhu Parekh has been supporting many programmes in the Centre for Political Studies. It is committed to providing scholarships to MA students and support for an annual lecture and research workshops for faculty and students. One of the programmes under this endowment allows for a lecture series for faculty and students to meet and learn from distinguished scholars.
